Privacy policy
This policy explains what LingoX processes when you use the extension and related services.

Account email, optional nickname, password hash, saved words, source sentences, notes, feedback and settings. Passwords, session tokens and recovery codes are never stored in plain text on our server.
Reading and AI processing
Only text you actively ask LingoX to process is sent to our API. Natural speech and AI explanations may be processed by contracted cloud service providers acting for LingoX. We do not retain complete speech input on the server after the request is handled.
Local storage
The extension stores settings, vocabulary, pending sync operations and cached audio in browser storage and IndexedDB.
Payments
If subscriptions are enabled, a contracted payment provider will process payments as merchant of record, including applicable sales taxes. LingoX stores customer, subscription and payment event identifiers, but never full card details.
How information is used
To provide accounts, synchronization, speech, explanations, quotas, billing, abuse prevention, support and service reliability. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while the account is active and as required for security, billing and legal obligations. You may request deletion using the account deletion page.
Security and contact
We use hashed credentials, scoped sessions, TLS in production and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; contact us promptly if you suspect misuse.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
LingoX uses information received from Chrome APIs only to provide and improve its disclosed reading and vocabulary-learning features. Its use and transfer of this information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
